1. Overview

Mavericks in Motion Co., Ltd. ("the Company") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect and why when you use EOBO ("the Service"), and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

Account: email and password (encrypted), or a sign-in identifier from Apple, Google, or Kakao; username; profile image.
Catches: the photos you take of your catches, the species results, the generated characters, and any details you add such as the location or sea where you caught the fish.
Feed content: the posts and comments you share.
Usage & device: app logs, IP address, device and OS information, and a push notification token.
Location: if you allow it, the approximate location of a catch, to record where it was caught. You can decline; catches are still saved without it.
Payments: handled by Apple In-App Purchase. We never see or store your card number.

3. How we use it

Run the Service: sign-in, identifying your catches, generating characters, and your aquarium and field guide.
Feed: publish the catches you choose to share and their comments.
Subscriptions: process payments and unlock paid features.
Safety: review reports and act on abuse.
Communication: important notices and support.
Improvement: diagnose crashes and improve performance.

4. AI processing of your photos

To identify a species and create a character, we send your catch photo to third-party AI providers:

OpenAI (species identification)
Google (character generation)

These providers process the image only to return a result, acting as our processors. The photo is sent for this purpose only. Please avoid capturing other people or sensitive details in the frame.

5. Service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with providers that help us run EOBO:

Cloud hosting & media delivery (Amazon Web Services)
AI species identification and character generation (OpenAI, Google) — see section 4
Sign-in (Apple, Google, Kakao)
Payments (Apple)
Push notifications (Apple / Google messaging services)

We may also disclose information when required by law.

6. Retention & deletion

We keep your catches and account data while your account is active, so your collection stays with you.
Feed posts remain until you delete them or delete your account.
You can delete individual catches, feed posts, or your whole account anytime in the app. We permanently erase your personal data within 30 days, unless the law requires otherwise.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption of sensitive data and restricted internal access — to protect your information.

8. Children

EOBO is not intended for children under 14. If we learn we collected information from a child under 14, we delete it.

9. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your information. To exercise these rights, contact our Privacy Officer.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you in the app or through our official channels.
